I was stopped at a red light under a bridge on the way to work today and saw this old man carrying a bag of bread wandering through the traffic, one car in front of me. I thought "SIGH, another creep in Ringwood - what's new" but then I saw him come to the other side of the road and he was actually helping a Mother Duck and her 10 or so ducklings ( Read more... )

THAT is so cute! haha a man where I live got a large ticket for helping geese across the road. He protested it...I'm not sure if he won. He should have....he saved a lot of little lives.

People continue to amaze me. I was forced to stop, almost late to work when I saw the cause. One of the most prestigious Attendings at the hospital dressed in his three piece Armani suit was stopping traffic to get to a tortoise in the middle of the road & help it make it to the other side. Have never looked at him quite the same since.
