Ohhh its good to see you post! You've been on my mind lately. How are you?

One of my goals when I lose my 100 pounds is to find a horse for a good ride. There is a place up here that has put together horses and people on retreat. Most of the people have been abused one way or other. Other folks just take lessons. I figure somewhere in between I can take a lesson to get the rust off my riding skills and then find the time to take a leisurely ride out in the sun.

As for the rest of me, well, I'm still working in Gresham. They still love me here. Its still good. I have my 40th high school reunion in July and I am looking forward to it. Probably not for the normal reasons I suppose. I figure it will be most likely the last time we will gather and take a good look at each other. I've reconciled with the biggest bully of my life so it should be interesting what other people I meet.

Riding will make you forget about everything. I don't think about anything except the companionship of the horse. And when I'm teaching I CAN'T think about anything else cuz i have 4-5 hormone ridden teenagers flying around the ring.

I have always loved riding, but don't get to do it nearly enough. It's one of the things on the list to get back to when the kids are out of the house. There's nothing like taking a trail ride for a few hours and totally losing yourself in the moment.

Lets see...the school year is wrapping up, in an insane totally out of control way. Daughter 1 finished her first year of college, daughter 2 is going to be a senior and is going to France for a week in 10 days, and son is going to be canoeing for two weeks in July. Oh, and we may be moving to AZ in a few years. Maybe. Not sure I want to go back there, too dry and no big body of water with beaches.
No play this summer, we're taking the summer off, and our dog is getting older and requires assistance to arise. It's sad, but I see no reason to get rid of him just cause he needs a helping hand.

Love hippotherapy, I've always wanted to get into it. When the kids are gone I may try to do some of that up in Houston. Good to see you!
