For the first time in my life, I was very close to passing out from heat exhaustion. Didn't happen, luckily, but considering the heat, humidity, and I had on long, heavy pants, I was that close. Good thing I took the rest of the day off. Next week can't get here fast enough. I need that vacation...badly!

People die very quickly from heat exhaustion because heat stroke sets in. Make sure to drink more water or Powerade to keep your energy up.

That day was a really hot day and my boss, despite the excessive heat warning, sent us all out to work. The temperature was really close to reaching 100° but missed it by about two degrees, but the humidity was still really bad (as usual). Don't get me wrong, I was drinking a lot of water all day that day (I never leave the shop without my five gallon water cooler full of fresh ice water I prepare every morning), but as I mentioned, the combination of heat, humidity, and heavy clothing (which I had no choice but to wear because I was cutting grass) is what nearly did me in, despite all the water I put in my system.
