Time For a Gaming Rant

I haven't done one of these in a long while, so I think now's a good time to start one.

Thanksgiving night after stryder619 and I got done with Pudgiving, the two of us went back to his place to hang out for a bit waiting on artistic_idol to show up. Walter had me playing Gears of War on his Xbox 360. Needless to say I haven't played it at all (as I have played ( Read more... )

I would hold out for a Wii...I know they're super hard to get your hands on as of recent still (I went through hell and high water to get mine...I actually camped out in front of Target in Early March 3 hours before opening and was, by luck of the draw, the first customer to buy one that day.), but they are most definitely worth the wait. ^^

I think most of my loyalty has been with Nintendo (I think I only missed out on the Super NES...but that's cause my parents opted to get me a Genesis instead), even if I do have a ps2 and a Xbox. Then again, they all have their advantages and disadvantages. :)

Yep, definitely going to try and hold out for my Wii. But if I have to, I'll snag my PS3 first. And see, I like to have myself all three consoles to take advantages of their strengths and weaknesses. That's the beauty of being a gamer. You know your consoles, what they can do, so you can plan what games you want for said console. Be flexible. It pays out in the end.

The Wii gets boring after two months. It has mostly casual games so if you are a casual gamer then that shouldn't matter to you. The PS3 doesn't have anything good out yet. The only reason to buy one is because you are waiting for Tekken 6 or Final Fantasy and those titles might go multi platform if the companies get desperate for cash ( ... )

But I like casual games as much as I like "hardcore" games. So the Wii goes hand and hand with me ( ... )

Hmm, people booting you in Burnout was because they didn't want to play with people of a low rank. That was just a bad design of the ranking system by the game manufacturers and it has not been repeated in any other game. It was an early generation mistake. Once you get up high enough nobody boots you though ( ... )

It's not that I like "G-rated" style games. Most of my library is E-T (leaning on the T side more) but that doesn't mean I won't play an M rated game because I have quite a few. Thing is, I'm an introverted gamer. I prefer playing by myself because I have them for my own enjoyment. Mind you that sometimes I don't mind playing with another every now and then, but I prefer being alone in my gaming. That's why the whole online community thing doesn't interest me at all. I'm personally not looking to make any new friends when I game.
