That was either an earthquake or a nearby explosion, and the second one, at that! So someone's either detonating a lot of explosives or there were two earthquakes.

Hope they didn't scare anyone too badly!

You're not the first to notice. I had thought it was just the school...

I've been here for three months and there hasn't been any earthquakes and no one has ever mentioned earthquakes happening before then.

It's more than likely earthquakes or distant explosions, then. Or maybe a really, really big monster coming our way! [The last is said with a voice hinting that he's joking.]

I haven't been here that long, but I didn't hear anything about earthquakes, either. I wish I knew more about seismic activity in general. Aren't there supposed to be a smaller quakes after the initial large one? Those both felt about the same.

I've got a little experience, it wasn't a natural earthquake, but it did follow that pattern.

I doubt what caused the quake back in my world was the cause of this one.

But since you felt two I think we are going to get more. But there's no way for me to tell how bad it's going to get.

So this is before the strongest of the quakes, then? It would make sense, I suppose. Although both were so weak that I couldn't really tell if there were any differences.

The weaker the warning quakes are the better.

I don't know anything of the fault lines here, or I might be able to predict how bad it could be.

We can hope.

It's my duty to look after The Floating Island, knowing the fault lines, and the volcano's activity levels does prove useful. I don't don't know how well that experience would translate to here but it's better than no information at all. My island's situation seems to be unique.
