OMG, you are back, I am SO GLAD.
But to tell the truth, this episode is my favorite of Season 3. I think the writing are very decent (focus on Merlin and Merlin's destiny and his emotional side)and the acting from all the cast is awesome.
I am kind of busy right now, so I shall be back later to comment more.

Haha, thanks dear. I intend to finish this season on a bang! I just have to get around to writing it. =\

To tell the truth, this episode grew on me after I watched it again (as in, when I was doing up this). I could really identify with why they had put the things in that they did. I really felt for Merlin.
I guess I just had bad flashbacks to the days of 'reset button' and guest stars that only last for one episode.

Looking forward to anything else you have left to say. :D

Dear, my quick reply is that the deviation from A/M core to other plots in S3 just really disappointed (if not upset) me a lot. All I wanna say is that I only watch this show for A/M (thanks to our beloved B/C).

Don't worry, I know how you feel. It's kind of why I didn't like the episode as much - they could have done a lot more with it on the A/M front, but they didn't. :(

Very funny. I actually liked the episode for the Gilli and Merlin talks about lonliness, power and how Merlin has forgotten who he is.

So sorry about the personal stuff. Post it whenever. RL is more important that this!

I wonder if I should put a post-script to say that I did actually like the episode (especially the Merlin/Gilli talk about magic), I just didn't like the way they went about it. It might save me from saying it each time. XD;

Thanks for the support though lovely. Got to have a massive post about the floods first [and deal with other, unrelated things] before I can get back to Merlin. Slowly but surely though! :)

yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey you're back!!!!! These reviews just make my day and I'm so happy you're back!!! awww shame you didn't like this episode :/ ironically, excluding the season finales which I loved, this was my favorite episode of season 3- not just because Gwen didn't show her annoying face for a single frame, but I just thought it was so moving! And SUCH amazing development with Merlin's chracter- paralelling him with Gilli almost, I thought was such a good idea- it really shows how Merlin has matuted over the series and the scene where he reveals his magic made me cry so much!!! I guess it's a matter of opinion after all hehe ^^ but your recap was super funny as usual!!!! Can't wait what you'll pull out the bag for the finales!!!

Glad you liked my review, even though you liked the episode a lot more than I did. I did like that scene where Merlin revealed his magic though. I had an epic spazz fit when I first watched it. XD;
