OH GOD, BEN VANSTONE IS MY NEW GOD. THIS WAS THE BEST EPISODE OF MERLIN, EVER. EVER. MY BRAIN IS STILL MUSH FROM THE AWESOME.

There is no way that I can review or share my thoughts on this episode without massive Capslock and Squee’s of fury. Just so you know.

And yes, I realised right after I posted what Sir Leon's name is. Though I have to admit I kind of like referring to him as "Hunky-Pants" *shifty eyes*

ALSO. Did you notice that when Merlin pops out from under Arthur's bed (which he stole TWO pillows from to be more comfortable! TWO), Arthur was going to sleep in an unmade bed? NO OTHER MANSERVANTS FOR HIM, SLOVENLINESS FOREVER.

And, and, in between their "I told you so!" and Gaius showing up, he is making sure to hide the evidence of their desperate loooooove making MERLIN IS MAKING THE DAMN BED FOR ARTHUR.

OMG NO, I TOTALLY MISSED IT. But but but! I rewatched it and I did see that Merlin was making it while he was trying to convince Arthur to take the poison!! :O ARTHUR WILL NEVER TAKE ANOTHER MANSERVANT. OF COURSE HE WOULDN'T. HE IS ONLY FAITHFUL TO MERLIN.

This is completely hilarious, I loved it!

I could have sworn the Slash Dragon never said anything about Arthur actually uniting the lands.

The dragon tells Merlin during their very first meeting that Arthur is destined to be "the once and future king who will unite the lands of Albion." And that's when Merlin starts being all, "Oh. Then we're doomed." :)

Does he really? Gosh, I evidently didn't pay much attention to that part of the Dragon's speech. I was too busy flailing over the One True Big Gay Destiny revelation. XD Oh dear, I really am quite selective about the reality I chose to accept. XD
