Adopting a number: 81

Apr 25, 2006 00:00

The first integer number not notable enough to be mentioned in Wikipedia's number list is 81, and it is the only integer not listed in the first 100. It is special for being not special.

81, I AM ADOPTING YOU. You will be special to me from this point on.

What number have YOU adopted?

I'll grab 125 even though it's past 100, becaue it's 5*5*5. and 5's my favorite number.

But in that case, wouldn't you want 5^5, ie 3,125?

Nah. While 5^5 is tempting it's just too lofty for your average person. 125 is humble enough yet meaningful enough.
