All this talk of books from you reminds me of a question I keep meaning to ask - what's your cataloging method for your huge library? I'm at the point that I need to develop one. :-)

We use this program: http://www.collectorz.com/book/

It's a bit pricier than most, but the features that sold us:
- Location feature (this was most important for us, as a good 3/4ths of our collection is still stateside, but allows us to know what is in each box)
- Ability to download book info from a variety of sources (LoC, British Library, amazon.com/co.uk/fr/de)
- check out feature (who we've loaned books to when)

We're *very* happy with it. The big trick is the first big cataloguing, but once you get past that it's easy to keep up with.

Web searching and trial and error. It was the only program that did everything we wanted it to (plus extra). They do have a free download that will let you try it for 100 books worth. That's what sold us.
