Last night was hectic.  I worked the late shift, which closes at 8.  I didn't end up closing until 9.  A couple of guests had a HUGE party with like twenty eight year-olds running around.  It was messy.  A guy did tip me a fifty though.  Which was nice I guess.  I went home and went straight to bed.  Then I had to work again this morning at 8.  ( Read more... )

Now I know how the wicked witch must have felt.  It it so hot I feel as though I'm melting.  Rivulets of sweat are constantly making rivers down my forehead, and it's getting a little gross.  I'm like a damp wash cloth all the time.  It is just too hot here.   I can't wait to go home where it is  cooler because of altitude ( Read more... )

We went and scouted the section I'm racing tomorrow.

All I can say is, ug.  Some of the sections look pretty sketch.  But I'll be fine.

I'm participating in a kayak race this weekend on class III-IV water that I've never seen.  I'm kinda nervous.  It is for the kayak club.  We are registered in the Golden Tri-Athalon, which is the largest descent in any race.  The runners start up in the mountains and then they hand off to bikers later and the bikers hand off to kayakers, ( Read more... )
