Why is it Big Brother 9's Matty pleading guilty to distributing Oxycodone in connection with BB9 Adam's reality-winnings-funded drug ring and facing up to 20 years jail time [warning: links to TMZ] so hilarious, when Survivor's Richard Hatch being found guilty of violating his probation and facing up to two years of prison so tragic?
I think probably because Richard is just obnoxious in an evil reality star sort of way, while Matty is a disgusting misogynist who beat his pregnant girlfriend.
My favorite part of the TMZ article: No es bueno. Hee!
I wonder if BB puts it in their contracts now that the contestants can't use their winnings to fund any sort of illegal activity. The threat of losing their money would probably scare these particular people more than actual U.S. laws.
Because Richard is a generally productive member of society who should have paid his damn taxes, and invented the modern reality "social game". Every 'smart asshole' on every show since owes him a debt.
Matty's a moron who sells oxycontin pills. He's a moron who does it in a ring run by ADAM of all people. Plus he beats up a pregnant girlfriend. Jail is about right.
