Reality Round-Up

Why is it Big Brother 9's Matty pleading guilty to distributing Oxycodone in connection with BB9 Adam's reality-winnings-funded drug ring and facing up to 20 years jail time [warning: links to TMZ] so hilarious, when Survivor's Richard Hatch being found guilty of violating his probation and facing up to two years of prison so tragic?

If it weren't for the fact that the majority of the Survivor 22 cast has been announced (officially- I think everyone who cares has already known for months) and the pre-show videos of them are live, I might not know if I'm supposed to be happy or sad.

But they're talking about INTEGRITY and HONOR and it's adorable while being so very wrong. Especially when, with all the recruits of late, there's a surplus of non-fans trying to pretend they know the show, and non-fans who claim they'd never even HEARD of Survivor until they got cast. And the former is hilarious, but the latter is even worse. You could live in Panem and avoid knowing about the Hunger Games better than living in the US circa 2000-2002 without seeing at least a bit of Survivor. ♥

This is all helping me get past the pain of the potential of two more years that they can't have Hatch back on an all-star season because he won't be allowed to leave the US mainland because of his probation :(

Oh, reality TV. You make me have ALL OF THE FEELINGS.
