A/N: making this early coz..i'm gonna be on hiatus long enough
It’s a Sunday morning; the surrounding at the double story house is still in silent. Nobody is waking up yet. Kamenashi sleeps soundly in the middle bedroom. His cozy king size bed really making him sleep even more. Besides that, the breezes coming from the nearby window makes him pull his blanket closely, avoiding him from shivering.
Akanishi Jin, a slightly tall young man is walking along the street by his own. A cigarette can be seen between his fingers. He exhaled the air making the smoke puff into the air. His face is full with happiness. He just walks straight to the parking lot nearby. It’s still early but he had wake up and dressed himself up, leaving his sleepy girlfriend with a deep kiss. He had to head back home.
Last night had been great. He really enjoys himself. Unfortunately he just realizes that he has a family meeting this morning, so he left. The street is wet. The rain pours down heavily last night making the streets a little bit slippery. He drove the car slowly trying to avoid himself for getting into an accident.
“I’m home.” Jin walks into the family house silently. He can see his mother is buzy preparing their breakfast. He walks toward her and gave her a kiss on the cheek.
His mother looks at him with a smile. “Where were you last night??”
Jin just grins. He is still trying to find a proper answer so that his mother wouldn’t get mad. “I’m sleeping at Yamapi’s.
His mother turned herself facing him, making her confuse face. She didn’t believe her son. “He’s lying. I can see it from his eyes.”
“Is it true honey??”
Jin looks at his mother. His face expression change slightly. “Yeah... why should I lie?”
Mrs. Akanishi turned away, focusing on her dishes. “Honey, if you’re sleeping at Yamapi’s, why should he call last night??”
Jin gasps. “Oh...you’re busted, Jin! She knows!”
Mrs. Akanishi turned to her son. “Didn’t you want to tell me where you were??”
As Jin was going to talk, his mother interrupts. “Don’t lie. I know that you’re not hanging out with any of your friends. I know it when you lie.”
Jin is out of words. He doesn’t know what answer he should give. He’s busted.
“You’re sleeping at Arioka-san’s aren’t you? How many times should I remind you? Cut that behaviour down.” His mother said in demand. She is really upset with Jin.
“But okasan...I” Jin reply. He didn’t finish his words when a voice interrupts.
“Good morning mom...what’s for breakfast??” Reio, the younger son of the Akanishi family greeted.
“Ohayou Rei honey.” Mrs. Akanishi reply to his younger son.
Jin, who stands straight near the sink, smiled. But it’s bitter. He still felt like an idiot to fool his own mother. She knows him too well.
“Owh...you’re back. I need to talk to you about something.” Reio said. He then sat on the dining chair, pulling his brother to sit next to him.
“Nani?? I need to take my bath.” Jin refuses.
Reio look at his onii-san weirdly. “Your bath can wait, this can’t. hayaku, onii-chan.”
With a bit of disgust, Jin took a seat next to his brother. His mother had started to serve their meal on the table. The meal smells good. It makes him hungry right away.
“Ehh...why did you suddenly called me that way??nani??What is this all about??”
Reio look at his brother while filling his mouth with his breakfast.
“Are you free tonight??”
Jin stops eating. “What??” He thinks for a minute. “Dame. I’m off to Tokyo Disneyland afterwards. I’ll be home quite late.”
Reio making a sad face. His brother already had a plan. “Is he forgetting something? Something that he didn’t even forget for the past years.”
“Eehh...you had a plan already. Who will you go with??”
Jin eats his breakfast fast. He just stops a second before putting the pancakes into his mouth again. “Do I need to tell you? It’s none of your business anyway.”
“Are...onii-chan aren’t you forgetting something? Something that is really important?” he tries to make his brother to think but Jin looks kind of the one who doesn’t want to think. “It’s no use. He’s too lazy to think. How could he forget his best friend birthday?”
“Nani? I don’t think so. I don’t have any task today. Wait...” Jin checked his cell phone to track his schedule. There’s nothing important, just his trip to Disneyland with Yuna-chan.
“Well. I’m done. Thanks okasan, for the meal.” He went to wash his plate, give another kiss to his mother and walks upstairs.
“ onii-chan...its Kamenashi-kun birthday. How can you forget??” Reio said. He’s depressed with Jin’s attitude. “How come he forgot about his best friend birthday??”
Akanishi stops. He just remembered. Its Kame’s birthday. He taps his head hard. How could he forget?

“Jin, honey what’s wrong??”
Akanishi Jin looks over at his girlfriend. He loves her so much. They enjoyed themselves the whole day. He just felt as if he doesn’t want to let her go. Her body is just like a wonderland. Her smile really make any guy goes crazy. She’s just amazing in everyway. He realizes it since. They start dating. It feels even more after last night.
Unfortunately, his heart is beating fast. He looks at his watch a few times. The time ticks fast making him feel unease. He really has to go. Go back to his precious one. The one who he treats as a part of his family members. The one that he really care and love for more then he could ever think of. How could he forget just now?? How could he forget the most important thing in his life??
A few hours back, Jin’s cell phone rang.
“Moshi, moshi...yeah, Rei...nani??” Jin talks in a low tone. He moves far from his girlfriend, trying to have a private conversation.
“Onii-chan, aren’t you coming. It’s going to start in an hour. Kamenashi-kun maybe gets up set if he knows that you didn’t come.”
“No. I think I couldn’t. It will take more than an hour to get there. Besides, we’ve celebrated his birthday earlier.”
“It’s not the same, this time it’s a surprise party. Please come.” Reio tries to convince his brother. He really wanted Jin to be there.
“I don’t know. I’ll try. Ciao!!” Jin cut the line fast. He doesn’t want to hear anything else or he’ll be dragging himself out of the theme park instantly.
He looks at his watch once more. Yuna Arioka, his girlfriend gives a glance for the twelve times at his boyfriend. He looks uncomfortable but she doesn’t know why. He just ignores her, each time she asked.
Yuna can’t stand it anymore. “Jin, look at me. What’s wrong??”
His girlfriend glance really stabs his heart. She really looks mad. He doesn’t want to answer her question but he can’t run his eyes anymore.
“Gomen, its nothing.”
“Jin!!” Yuna’s voice increases.
Jin looks away. He really doesn’t want to talk about it.
“Can’t you just tell me what’s wrong? Did I do something wrong??” she touch his boyfriend on the wrist tightly, making Jin focus on her. He pulls her towards him. Trying to relax.
Jin can see Yuna’s eyes fill with tears, eye drops start to pour down her beautiful cheeks. He didn’t know what to do.
“Baby... please don’t cry. You did nothing wrong, seriously.” He tried to comfort her. He kissed her deeply. The kiss is sweet but there’s something else been bothering him now.
As both of them sat in the restaurant, having their dinner, the television nearby reported live entertainment news. They are focusing on a function. A surprise party had been going on at the moment. The reporter reported that it had been a surprise party done near the spot where Kamenashi is having his drama filming. The TV shows the guests who were there beside the crews.
Most of the people in the restaurant were focusing their eyes on the television, including Jin and his girlfriend. It is an exciting live entertainment report though.
Jin can see clearly his friends, Taguichi, Ueda, Nakamaru and Koki are celebrating Kame’s twenty-fourth birthday. They seem to have fun. Having fun without him. He can see Kame’s surprise expression, the cheering and the widest grin that he ever had. There are other JE members and crews, Kame’s brother, Yuya and also his own brother, Reio.
He realizes that his surrounding changed. Everybody seems to be talking to each other. Commenting on what they had seen on the TV. He can hear somebody asking, “Wow sugoi!! Its Kame’s birthday. His friends is making a surprise party for him but. Where’s Akanishi?? He’s not seems to be there...”
His heart beat faster. As fast as a bullet train. He is out of breath. Having difficulty to breath properly. His palm starts to sweat. The blood vessel pumping the blood in a high tense. It feels as if it would burst out any time now.
A hand suddenly touches Jin’s palm. The fingers try to find his fingers. He looks up, trying to relax. He can see his girlfriend look at him deeply. It looks as if she sympathizes with him but she shouldn’t. He grips her fingers tightly. Trying to get courage. Everybody is still talking. They were asking and answering questions that they made up themselves. He shouldn’t be bothered but it really bothers him a lot. He feels like crying, its bloody hell wrong interpretation. It is really painful just to hear what people said. They didn’t realize that he’s there.
“Honey, don’t bother them, ne??” Yuna said, trying to comfort Jin. His boyfriend just nods without saying a thing. He seems depressed. Depressed of not being able to celebrate his best friend birthday.
About half an hour later, a phone rang. Jin looks at his cell phone screen. It’s Ueda. It took him a few moments before he picked it up.
“Moshi...moshi...”
“Jin-kun...why isn’t you here, yet??”
“Uepi...i think I couldn’t be there.” Akanishi answered. He voice really sounds low.
“That’s what Reio said. Didn’t you want to celebrate it with us? Kame is still energetic to celebrate. Just come.”
“No. I’m sorry. Said sorry to Kame, ne?? I just can’t. I’ll make it up later. I got to go, Uepi. Say hi to the rest, ne? Bye...” he cut the line just then.

The blue car stops at the main entrance of Zushi Marina, a place where the band had done their One Drop PV. It’s been a year or more since the filming but now, Jin is standing at the main entrance again, trying to find anybody that he knows. It’s a disappointment, there’s nobody there, he alone with a few strangers.
“Excuse me, may I help you, sir??” a voice can be heard. Jin turned to where the voice came from.
He look at the man, he must be the one of crew in a drama which Kame acted. “Oh, sorry. Its nothing, I’m just wondering around.” He lied.
The man look shocked. “Its, Mr. Akanishi Jin, right??”
Jin nods. He thought of just going home because there’s nobody there. “I’m late. Why did I ever come here in the first place?”
The man smile. “You just missed the party. They’ve gone home.”
Jin let out a bitter smile. He knew it. What a waste of time. He needed a few moments to get back to Tokyo. It’s tiring. He left the place in disgust. From far, he can see the shadow of Mount Fuji, it looks really nice. It makes him feel a little relax.

Kamenashi just finish having his hot bath. It feels really nice and refreshing. He sat on the king size bed. With the sprinkle of water on his bare chest, he slams his body on the cozy bed. The air conditioner made him feel a little cold but it’s nice. He was thinking about the surprise party that he just had. All his friends are there, the crews were celebrating his birthday too. The director had given him the permission to go off early as it was his birthday. He was glad to be home. It was really tiring after the hard work. Unfortunately, he was curious about Jin’s absent. Why didn’t he even called or at least messages him. It was weird. He knows that they weren’t ‘that’ good friend anymore but he at least he should called him, wishing him happy birthday. Maybe his friend forgot, maybe it’s because they already celebrated his birthday earlier on the eighteenth of February.
Kamenashi moved his body to the right, looking at Ran-chan, who had been sleeping soundly on its bed. “She looks cute even when she’s sleeping. Pity her. I don’t have much time playing with her lately.”
Suddenly, Kame’s cell phone glows. He quickly picks it up, one massage received. It was from Kyoko. He smiled.
“Kame-chan...Happy 23rd birthday, ne.
Sorry that I couldn’t make it.
I’ll see you tomorrow after I got back to Tokyo, ok??”

Kame put his cell phone to the side. He walks to the window and close it. From far, he can see a tank top that he got from a fan just now. There are a lot of present that he got, send to his house, making his mom scream like hell because there are too many. On one side, there is a bunch more that hasn’t been opened. He picks the tank top and put it on. The tank top really matches his dark green shorts. He then turns the lights off and gone to sleep. Tomorrow would be another buzy day, so he better have a good night sleep.
Its ten minutes to twelve. Kame’s birthday will end in ten minutes. Akanishi felt uneasy with the fact that he didn’t even wish Kame. He usually does but not this year. His hand was about to dial Kame’s number but his head said no. “Just leave Kame alone.”
The cell phone is glowing again. The dim lights really make Kame awake. He opens his eyes, trying to find the cell phone. One message received. It’s from Jin.
“Kazu, are you asleep yet??”
Kame looks at the words. He was wondering what wrong with this guy. Hadn’t he got a better question to ask? It’s weird. His friend is always weird. He wanted to reply but it seems like its better to call his friend back.
“Jin...”
“Oh...Kazu...whats up??”
“What’s up?? I’m the one who should ask you that question.”
“Ooh... gomen. I’ didn’t wake you up aren’t I??”
“Yes you are. I’m already asleep. Can we talk later?? I want to go back to sleep.”
“Yes sure... good night then, bye.”
“Yeah...”
As Kame was going to cut the line, he heard Jin said...
“Hmm...Kazu...ano...happy birthday, ne. bye.”
Kamenashi froze for a second, before replaying...
“Jin, wait...I thought you forgot...”
Akanishi laugh can be heard from the opposite line.
“I used to. But I remember now.”
“Then, why didn’t you come??”
“It’s none of your business...”
“It is my business. You aren’t coming to my birthday party, that’s weird. You used to be the exited one before this.”
“I am not! What ever... Just get back to sleep. Bye.”
“Yeah. At least you wished. Although you’re the last one.”
“Bye Kazu...”
“Bye Jin”
The line had been cut. Jin was thinking, does he said what he really wanted to say?? He hadn’t been giving Kame his present yet. On his hand, there is a white colored box for Kame. He put it in the post box, wrapped it with another layer of plastics so that it won’t get wet.
Jin looks straight at the window of the second floor bedroom. The room is dark showing that its master had been asleep. He looks deeply and says, “Happy Birthday Kazu.”
Jin walks to his car, started the engine and starts to speed, leaving Kamenashi’s compound.

The sun shines brightly. Kamenashi open his eyes slightly, looking at the window. As he remembered, he did close the curtain before sleeping. Why the curtain is had been opened. He wondered to himself.
He yawns loudly as he sits on the cozy bed. Rubbing his itchy eyes, Kame sees a figure bending beside the mountain of unfolded presents.
“Gya...”he screamed.
The figure turned. “Kazuya...why are you screaming??”
“Oka-san...its you. What are you doing in my room??”
Kame’s mother walk to his son while holding some folded present wrappers. “Wake up. You’re late. And. please kept all your present. I’m starting to feel the burden of handling all your mess, Mr. Super Idol.”
Kame just smile. His egao smiles really melt his mother heart. “Stop smiling and do as I told.”

Twenty minutes later Kamenashi walk down the stairs wearing his working clothes. Today he’s wearing his favourite blue jeans, a Nike tank top and his Armani leather jacket.
“Good morning everyone.”
“Morning...” his brother reply. Kamenashi parents had been eating.
“It’s my 24 years old boy...ohayou.” his father reply with a smile.
“You look dazzling today. Is it because it’s your first day of being twenty-four??” Yuya said, laughing.
Kame gives a pout. He knocks his brother’s head. “Baka...don’t make fun of me.”
The entire family had their breakfast together on Kame’s first day of being twenty-four years old.
After finishing the breakfast Kame goes to get his backpack and headed his way to work.
“Kazu honey. Sent Yuya to college, ne??
“Eh?? Nande?? I got to arrive at the filming scent before nine.”
“Please... I got a function to rush to.”
Kame feels unease. He will be late after all. “Yuya, faster. I don’t want to be late.”
From inside the car, Kame can see his brother rushing to fill his backpack with the books needed. He then picked the newspaper from the post box.
“Gomen...i forgot to tell you...”
“Tell me what??”
“Hm...Tell you that I’m going to have a ride with you today.”
“Yeah what ever. Just shut up.” Kame then starts the car engine and they were off.
Ten minutes later they arrive at Yuya’s collage. “Thanks, oh...this...i found it in the post box.”
Kame took the box. The box is wrapped with a plastic layer. On the inside there is another layer of wrapper, a white smooth wrapper. Kame keeps the box inside his back pack and drove to the filming area.

Jin had a two hour break, so he went to windowshop by his own. Walking alone on the street is nice. It seems that nobody realize it was him yet. He was walking down the on one of the pack area of Tokyo. Wondering around the stores is just relaxing. With the cigarette between his fingers, Akanishi move over from one store to another store without buying anything. In the name of window shopping...yay!!
On one corner of the street, Jin stopped. He focuses his sight to the nearby pet store. Behind the sliding window he can see a really nice little thing. He walks closer to the window. It is a little turtle. A cute one. Without a second glance, he walks away. The smile is still on his face. The turtle remained him of Kame. He had already buy Kame a present. “Did he like it?? It’s the nicest present I can find in Disneyland. And not a cheap one though.”
After a long walk, he stops at a stall and trying to get himself a drink. He had been dehydrated of the afternoon heat. It’s really hot today although the summer had only started. He continues walking until he heard his cell phone beeped. One massage received.
It was Kame.
Jin...where was you???
You had been wondering around the shops again, aren’t you??
From Kazu.
“What the hell. How does he know that I’m wondering around?? He’s spying on me or what??”
Akanishi look around. He hadn’t seen Kame anywhere so he just walks. Suddenly his phone rings.
“Moshi...moshi...”
“Ano...Jin...what are you doing??”
“Eh...nani?? It’s none of your business.”
“Yeah it’s none of my business but. Seeing you wondering around like that...”
Akanishi interrupt Kame’s word. “Like what? Baka!!”
“Bakanishi!!”
“You’re the one...idiot!!” both of the boys are mouth fighting.
“Ooi...stop. Stop. Everybody is looking at me.” Akanishi look around. He had made himself the center of attention right now.
“Baka...you just realize it...everybody is looking at you for about some times.” a laugh sound can be heard on the opposite line.
“Eh...is it?? How did you know?? Where were you? I didn’t see you anywhere...”
“Look straight. Did you see me??” Kame said as he waves his hand high. He cut the line as he sees his friend is approaching him.
“How long have you been seating here??”
Kame laugh. “Quiet some times. See??” he shows the empty tea cups on the table.
“Three cups. He sure sits here long enough! Did he saw me at the pet shop just now??..No, no, no...He didn’t.” Jin tries to calm himself down.
“Jya...i’m going...bye.” Jin said as patting Kame’s shoulder.
“Wait...”
“kame-chan...” a voice can be heard from far. Kame and Jin turned to the voice.
A beautiful lady approaching them. She kissed Kame on the lips. Deeply.
“oh.please...”.Jin showed his insulting face. He really didn’t like to be a part of the situation. “I must go. Jya...see you later.
Kyoko Nohara, the one that Kame dated had finally come. She just arrives in Tokyo. Kamenashi felt glad that she came but he feels a little bit disappointed because he couldn’t talk to Jin.
“Yeah...right...Jin...i...i’m...hmm...thanks for this turtle. I appreciate it soo much.” Kame said as he shows the cell phone holder that Jin had given him. He really did appreciate it. Jin didn’t forget his birthday, he know his friend didn’t.
The turtle-like chain is nice. Looks fluffy and cute. It’s simple but expensive. Nobody knows unless you get it hand-made in Tokyo Disneyland.
“Yeah...sure.bye.” Jin walks away leaving the couple. He sure felt glad for what Kame said. He appreciates it. Jin holds his cell phone higher. He also had one. He brought the cell phone holder for both Kame and himself. Showing that he really care about his friend. Kame was his friend. One of his best friends. It would never change although it’s the end of the world.
