How's My Driving?

Anon-enabled, screening off. If you feel there is something I need to hear about how I play Artemis, any suggestions to get better or pointing out any OOCness in his portrayal, please feel free to say them here.

Not crit so much as confusion-

I get that Artemis'd be interested in Bee because he was a Transformer but it seems highly unlikely to me that he would be fine with having sex with a male body.

Care to shed some light on that, and possibly explain what led up to it? I know i'm not the only one finding this strange.

It would seem highly unlikely at first glance, but I should point out that the CR between Artemis and Bumblebee is close to eight months now - this April 17th, to be exact, they first spoke on the network on August 17th, 2009 - and a lot has happened in those 8 months.

To start: Artemis didn't sleep with Bee right off the bat; the first time they got together intimately was in December 2nd, after over four months of CR development, and it wasn't without a great degree of awkwardness and discomfort getting there before that, like when Bee first kissed Artemis. They spent most of the weeks after being extremely awkward (Bee had thought Artemis to be greatly angry with him), until Artemis decided to go "fuck it" and talked to Bee again, since he wanted his friend back ( ... )

A little. Though, I think the reasoning with Holly feels a little stretched. Elf or not, Holly is still physically female - and a very, very attractive one at that. So it doesn't seem "weirdly wired" in sexuality for him to feel more out of kissing one woman over another. And it feels like you're just trying to stretch out human over elf. Species doesn't come across to me quite as important as the fact that they were both women and that Artemis seems to be canonly only excited by women ( ... )

For what it's worth, I think you're doing a brilliant job with Artemis. Both his voice and actions are consistent with how Artemis would and should act and you don't change it around to fit yourself or to make things easier for yourself. You stick to how he should act and react to people and what they do, even if it means Artemis would be an asshole, or just insensitive and possibly damage CR with a given character ( ... )

KJSFHLD you can guess my reading habits when the first thought that came to mind with this was that he makes a good single-serving friend aaah;;

Thank you so much, anon. This is a happy comment and it made my day. Thank youuuu ♥

Seconding pretty much everything the above anon said. I'm not intimately familiar with Artemis' canon, but I have read a good portion of it, and from what I can tell, your portrayal is perfect. You obviously put so much thought into everything he does-you're playing a genius character at a genius level, and is really, really impressive and imo deserves more credit than you get. It's a complete joy to thread with him, and just to basically be in the vicinity of your awesomeness-keep being amazing, okay? Your characterization is spot-on.
