You suck. /thread

Okay, no. But seriously, I think you're still doing an awesome job. My one critique would probably be that you might want to discuss things a bit more with other muns. While I know it's IC for Arty to be a godmodding little brat, there are still a few things that you should double check with muns before he "knows", if you know what I mean. There was some concern over it in the anon meme (which was crap, since I know you address it in his journal), but not all muns might be aware that you discuss it there.

Otherwise, A+++

I don't think using information that's already ICly public to everyone in the game should be an issue, though, which is what I think you mean? This crit is kinda vague. Public posts are public - every device-checking character presumably will have seen or read it at one point or another, and asking permission to backtrack public posts doesn't make much sense, and I've only perused public posts for Arty to use in conversations. I mean by public = public posts addressed to people, an unlocked/public threads.

As well, I do discuss things with other players when info-modding, but it could be that their definition of info-modding is different from mine? IDK this crit is really confusing. Do you mean being a know-it-all about certain things not pertaining to the game (which you already know is canon), or the backtracking of public posts that he does?

It's more the backtracking stuff. Like, I know public = public because goodness knows I do it too. But some people can be uncomfortable with just how much knowledge a character is capable of gaining. For some, they find it rubs them the wrong way. I can sympathize, even if I don't necessarily agree. Does that make sense?

Basically, there are some threads that aren't always clearly pointed out as "oh, the character later locked this" or something to that degree. For example, I can have Rolo go back through Euphemia's posts and have him see that Euphemia publicly addresses Mello as "Mihael". But for the sake of either continuity or covering for mun fail--whatever the case is, I'd rather check with the mun first to see if s/he is all right with that knowledge being used against the character.

And I apologize if this is still vague. Sob, writing when I've just gotten up in the morning is not always a good idea. *flops over*

tl;dr: Sometimes it's just better to err on the side of caution so other people will stop bitching. >:

The characters I do backtrack a lot for - and make known I do - are already characters Artemis already has considerable CR with, or played by muns I already chat with regularly. And thus far, the extent of Arty's backtracking goes no further than "you're that person with the wrinkles"(Christian Troy), "you were looking for your crutch"(Dr. House), "your hamsters"(Maxxie), to name a few examples. Nearly all of which are essentially public service announcements to begin with. If it were implicating things like murder and whatnot, I do ask ahead or abstain from mentioning things. So in this case, I know what you mean with erring on caution about certain content on public threads ( ... )

lmao, all the cool kids tl;dr. 8Db

Yeah, I figured as much. I mean, for me? I have no issues. I like your Arty, I like seeing him around, and I like his CR with other characters. But when it was brought up on the anonmeme, I was just like "Wait... what?" And I wasn't sure if you saw it, so I figured I'd make a mention. Or something. Coherency, what is it.

Anyway, I just wanted to make sure I was getting things right here, so I'm glad I dropped a line. (I typed out "lie" first, sob what is life) Sometimes anons have valid points, sometimes they're just... fail. So to make sure, I figured I'd check.

So, yeah. You're totes cool with me, dude. *goes back to sleep*
