it wasnt so bad. all you do is sit in a circle and be quiet. then afterwards talked with the people.

no dressing up. it wasn't at all churchy, oddly. for me it wasn't even spiritual.

there isn't necessarily a jesus thing. quakers don't have set doctrines, though the different main groups of them tend towards distinct beliefs. the green country friends meeting is part of the more progressive group and there was no mention or god or jesus at the meeting i went to. :)

Interesting. My mother is a quaker so I went to meetings growing up, sometimes. Never felt completely comfortable, but more so than most religious groups. I do admire lots of the tenets of the faith. Also, the lack of proselytizing is nice. If you're ever over in New Mexico you could talk to her.
