I find it (typically) hypocritical that the GOP has stated emphatically to "Err on the side of life..." while their leader and our President presided over more executions while governor of Texas than any other governor in the history of the nation.

while governor of TX, Dubya granted numerous of executions, which he had the authority of halting it at least. in a better term, he's still a dumbass. :)

i've only caught bits and pieces about this whole thing. if i heard correctly, her brain damage was cause by a heart attack? and last i heard she was going on her 11th day without food or water. if that's not being tortured i don't know what is. that's awful.

Terri Schiavo's ordeal began on Feb. 25, 1990, when a potassium imbalance caused her heart to stop temporarily. Terri suffered severe brain damage as her body went without oxygen for at least five minutes. It is believed the condition was brought on by a hormonal imbalance resulting from an eating disorder.

there's your answer. she went 13 days w/o nutrition.
a couple to few yrs of being in this state would've been torture for me.
