Schiavo has died... finally.

I know it's such a controversial issue but isn't this against HIPAA violation for all you healthcare workers?
And her husband WAS her legal guardian... meaning he was her spokesperson, appointed to delegate her wishes.
EDIT: And to think she didn't even die w/dignity...
Some ppl need education about all these medical issues *ahem* pro-lifers.
so what do you guys think? did you think that this was euthanasia or it was for the best?
as for me, i think it's best she finally died... after 15 yrs of being in a vegetative state, you'd think that one would want to end life even after a few yrs. ppl across the country die every day of having their feeding tubes pulled, why should this case be such a big deal? b/c parents wanted otherwise? b/c her husband is unloyoal for going off w/another woman and having children w/them? b/c everyone thinks that her husband wants all the $ fr life insurance and has already expended a million just for the courts? i s/w one of the social workers here at work who used to work in hospice and was relieved to know schiavo has succumbed to death. she brought up the fact that a 5 second clip of schiavo's eyes following a balloon doesn't necessarily mean she's ever gona come back to life. brain steam intact, rest of brain- cerebral cortex? liquid!
for all those pro lifers who thought that this was euthanasia... they really need to get EDUCATED about the disease process and all things medical involved. MORPHINE in this case doesn't kill- it's for comfort measures! this woman didn't even get to die w/dignity... w/face plastered all over america's tv screens. for all you healthcare workers, isn't this against HIPAA?
it's really vital to conjure up a living will or get obtain a durable power of attorney... even as her legal guardian, schiavo's husband's decision was overruled by her parents' appeal... so that whoever's appointed as such will know what your wishes. cut and dry.
