Fic: 'Who Is R.L.?' (or 'Poor Bundy')

Jul 05, 2005 12:32

This is in response to robofrog's request:

Set during POA. I imagine many girls would've had rather big crushes on Professor Lupin. How would McGonagall, who of course had noticed the closeness of Mssrs. Black and Lupin during their time at Hogwarts, react to their giggling and note-passing during her class? This was meant to be an entirely happy fic, but ( Read more... )

Aww, that's just so lovely, and McGonagall is just wonderful.x

And I bet she does make the cat jokes in her head, heh.

Aw, thanks. I'm glad you liked McGonagall because I didn't want to mess her up and make her too wishy-washy or too stern.

And she probably does make the cat jokes. (I was rather proud of that joke, to tell you the truth. Makes me sound witty.)

That was simply lovely. I've never seen much of McGonagall in stories and I thought your characterization of her was fantastic.

Thank goodness I got her right because I love her in the books and I wanted her to suit the style of the fic and the canon representation as well. And here I am rambling slightly but that's because I'm happy you enjoyed it.
Thank you for your kind comment because comments are wonderful, especially when they're kind (and that's my piece of wisdom for the day, says Count Obvious).

wonderful story :D I love it when people write about their relationship from the outside POV. ANd you captured it so well. Great!

I love reading from an outside POV too and I'm glad that I could actually write it and make it enjoyable and understandable.
Thanks for your comment (and saying that it was 'wonderful' because that just makes me all gush-y and blush-y and lots of 'ush-ies').

Oh that was just lovely. Wonderful characterisations. I love stories that look at R/S from someone else's POV, but I don't think I've ever read it from Minerva's. I adore that woman...she reminds me of my gran. :D This line: "Take love where you can find it, my dear", was just wonderful. Very, very well done. x

I was happy with that line too. It was one of those thoughts that just came to me and I couldn't not put it in.
And I'm so ecstatic that you liked the characterisations because I'm always pedantic about getting them just right, so ... huzzah! that I actually did it.
I love McGonagall too. I think she'd be such a great teacher (but not as good as Remus and I'd probably be one of the three unnamed authors on the parchment (though I do actually know who they are - *knowing look*) ).
Thank you a lot for extreme kindness.
I am blushing rather a lot. :)

Bwahaha I'd totally be one of the girls writing notes about him. I totally had a crush in high school on a teacher that reminds me a lot of Remus (personality-wise - he didn't look a thing like him). I don't know what it is about the quiet, slightly-nerdy, sweet professor-types that makes me swoon...*sigh*

This was adorable! ^^ Very well written, I loved your McGonagall! Is that last line about her own schoolgirl crush about...? :0 Dumbledore (tell me if I'm right)

Ooo ... was it about Dumbledore? I'd like to maintain the suspense but, yes, in my mind she was referring to Dumbledore (mainly because I think that's rather adorable and Dumbledore's so sweet and if he was about 100 years younger ... need I say more).
I'm glad you liked it (and picked up on the subtle Dumbledore vibes).
Thanks for the lovely comment.
