Even if they tried, no other team could match the pathos in that photo.

(Didn't he make it back for the last match of two last year? I have vague memories of him play, albeit poorly. Either way, hopefully both his brain and his psyche are healed and ready to go.)

(He might have. By that point I was so lost in existential despair/busy watching Barcelona that I may have entirely missed the Return of the Competent Centreback. Especially considering that it's not like the Return of the Competent Centreback made a damn bit of difference.)

Well, he's not signed yet, AFAIK, but it does sound like it's finally (even more) almost done -- about time! No matter what, he's gotta be an upgrade over the random switching of Pasqual and Gobbi, right? (No offense, Pasqual and Gobbi.)

I would be content with lots of glomping, even. Surely that's not too much to ask?
