So first, I went to one of the most entertaining lectures in a very long time. On Malpractice. (Watch
inked_caduceus for further coverage) Then had lunch at Pizza Papalis with 13 of my good friends from med school, along with 14 honorary "little siblings" that we grabbed from the new crop of first years. I managed to organize it with surprisingly little hassle. But 180 dollars worth of pizza will feed just about anyone, so...
PS: My "sib" is named Kelly, recently moved from the DC area, liked my mix CD with Queen and Natalie Cole on it, and gets new pyjamas every christmas. I adore her already.
So from there, I went out to Ann Arbor to meet
turnberryknkn and his Cynnabar crew. Jeff is great - there's always a slight trepidation to meeting someone offline for the first time, but I knew we'd get along just fine when I made a comment about him snorting the fantastic spicy sauce at
Seva's off the arse of a hooker, and he replied "That reminds me of a story!" And considering he's a third year at U of M's med school (hence the pager), we had plenty of stories to swap. Luckily, our dinner companions weren't too sickened by them. :) And then there was dancing:

It has been far, far too long since I went to an
SCA Dance practice. Going to a practice that was scored by real, live (good!) musicians was just icing on the cake. Jeff makes a damn fine partner for
Korobushka too. (Though it helped that I'd drawn flowers up my left "always on top!" arm during the dull lecture today.) And for people who will get the joke, they have something called "Psycho Posten's". Posten's to the Mortal Kombat theme music..... well, it is the Society for Creative Anachronism, no?

Plus, Paul (the guy in the blue shirt/black vest in the corner) taught me how to juggle during a break. I know. Me, juggling? It helped that I learned with
these. Chainmail makes everything better! :)
My feet hurt from dancing, my stomach hurts from laughing and I've just met heaps of fantastic new people; geeks who are warm, welcoming and very witty, but I can't remember most of their names.
I'm going to go collapse into bed, and hope to spend all of tomorrow studying like the good little student I'm supposed to be. :)
