It is merely proof that the so called 'circle of life' also exists on your world. One species does indeed depend on another for survival in most, if not all, ecosystems.
A number of flowering and non flowering plants depend on a number of other species to transfer pollen from the male to the female plant. Birds and insects being the organisms to assist in such reproduction.

Ah yes. I do remember your reaction to the opening of the flower buds in and outside of the mansion several weeks ago.
But I was more or less referring to the process of respiration and photosynthesis.
