The 21st Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards
Held January 25, 2014, at the Shrine Auditorium.

The three young actresses of Modern Family were nominated together with their cast for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series, but they lost to the cast of Orange Is the New Black.




Aubrey Anderson-Emmons, 7, tweeted before the show: "I really really really want to meet Meryl Streep and Emma Stone tonight. Into the Woods & Cabaret obsession." After taking her daughter to see Emma in Cabaret on Broadway, Aubrey's mom, Amy Anderson, said of herself: "Worst. mother. ever."




Ariel Winter, 16, will turn 17 very soon, on January 28. Sarah recently tweeted to her: "Happy 'early' 17th birthday to my fake little sister @arielwinter. It's been 6 years now and I love you with all my heart. You're old now so it's like whatever ;) "




Sarah Hyland, 24, was one of the few red-carpet celebrities to eat the cheese pizza offered by a journalist.

The two young actresses of Game of Thrones were nominated together with their cast for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series, but they lost to the cast of Downtown Abbey.




Earlier this month, Maisie Williams, 17, braved the chilly weather to take part in a demonstration in London's Trafalgar Square. The demonstration protested dolphin slaughter in Japan and drew more than a thousand people.




Sophie Turner, 18, was recently cast as young Jean Grey in the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse (2016). Her career is set to take off!

Lorelei Linklater attended with the cast of her movie Boyhood, which was nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture but lost to Birdman.




Lorelei, 20, who wore purple-tipped hair at the Golden Globes, switched to blue for the SAG Awards.

Raini Rodriguez, 21, attended together with her brother, Modern Family's Rico Rodrigeuz, 16.



Raini's Disney Channel show Austin & Ally just debuted its fourth season on January 18.

A few former young actresses were at the show this year, too.




Emma Stone, 26, was nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role for Birdman, but once again, she lost to Patricia Arquette for Boyhood. Birdman did win for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.




Keira Knightley, 29, was nominated in the same category as Emma for The Imitation Game. These two have been making all the awards-show rounds this year.




Claire Danes, 35, was nominated for Outstanding by a Female Actor in a Drama Series for Homeland, but she lost to Viola Davis for How to Get Away With Murder.




Reese Witherspoon, 38, was nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for Wild, but she lost to Julianne Moore for Still Alice.
