The coffee shop I'm pretending is my office today is awash in tall fit redheaded blokes.  (And, at different tables, a roughly equal number of young women in hijabs.)

Rather than letting me (tech support) deal with our guys in Tamil Nadu (software developers), my boss insists on translating a technical description of the problem into gibberish ( Read more... )

The original not the remake. :-)

I'd read (very brief) reviews suggesting that the remake was the better film. But I have no idea what they were basing that on.

I was trying to decide today whether trying to work with my boss was like talking to a shambling hulk that can only moan "brains... brains," or like my housemate who attempts to reason with her dog. And I don't think there are any charming talking dog films that are likely to have the level of cathartic violence recommended after the day I've had.

It looks like the Will Smith flick won't be out on dvd for another two weeks.

Okay, hat's off to you even KNOWING about Manchester Morgue. Well done.

I've never heard of Versus, strangely. I'm an Argento and Hammer Horror aficionado, so please explain. Thanks.

You're in a zombie frame of mind, so I say go with it, and get on chat late night if you're bored. I still need for you to explain whiskey to me.

And, yay! You're alive! :D

I have to admit that prior to googling for best zombie films, I'd never heard of Manchester Morgue or Versus, which appears to be a Japanese zombie flick.

I'm definitely opting for zombies this evening. I'll stick my head in online at some point as well.

(sorry for not being alive. I was in Portland for a really long weekend of home improvement projects and other people's family parties.)

Fair enough. I think my serious movie buff friends have Army of Darkness on their "I can't believe he hasn't seen that yet" list as well.

LOL.

If for no other reason, you should watch 28 days later for one of the most inspired uses of graffiti in the history of cinema.
