Today we picked 33 POUNDS of fresh tomatoes. That brings this seasons early yield to 87 pounds. Not too bad of a start. Out of 46 plants I'm hoping for a 400 pound yield. I know that a couple friends have been over picking as well and we will NEVER know how many the beagle brushette eats... ( click here for tomato porn )

Watering, taking care of my garden. Starts my day. That is of course after feeding the herd, gathering the eggs faster than a beagle if possible. Sharing out the flakes of hay in the order of the herd. Yogi is the ranking stallion, gelding in reality. So this morning started very well. After the herd was tended I grabbed the weed wacker and cut down a forest of stinging nettle. The dogs kept following me pointing out more places where they would appreciate my opening up the wilderness. Next came the Roundup weed spraying. The house smells of peaches in the crock pot slowly working to evaporate to the correct consistancy of peach butter. As if I know what that would be LOL. Right now it is a very loose apple sauce.
