This killed me!!! Dean is tormened because he remembers Hell perfectly... everything he did, everything he suffered, everything he felt

I want to hug Dean too! All the time, but especially after he cried in that episode where he confessed that he tortured souls in hell!! <3

Yeah the phrase Ruby said: Because I still remember how it feels to be human...has stayed with me and reversing it kinda made sense for Dean...
He is only tormented because he remembers everything that happened in Hell.... Hence:what it feels to be a demon...or kinda like a demon!

This totally explains why Dean WOULD OPEN UP TO RUBY!!
She is the only one who would understand...she is a demon!
In Dean's eyes she represents/symbolizes everything demonic... Sorta...

I can totally agree that Ruby might have been one of the ones he tortured in hell... I think there is plenty of evidence in canon for that, especially the way they looked at each other after her bout with Alastair....

I liked your image of Dean very much! He just can't admit that he did what was necessary to survive ... that he is still a hero despite the blood on his hands... we've never seen that demonic sadism bleeding over into our s4 Dean -- if anything he is more desperate for love and more conscientious than ever!!
