It's amazing how much more organized the pile of junk mail on your sofa looks after you pick it up and put it on a wooden tray you picked up at World Market. In addition to making my clutter look more organized, I'm hoping it will motivate me to keep my clutter to a minimum. I'm glad you were drawn into trivia. It's fun, and you often can confirm someone else's guess -- which can be more valuable than knowing an answer! :)

Thanks! I don't think I'll make it to trivia this week, since I want to go to another event, but I'll catch up again the next time I have a Thursday night free.

It's hard to commit time/money to all social issues. I mostly stopped giving money to gay rights organizations several years ago because it seems like a lot of people are willing to fund them, and I'd rather have rain forests or non-GMO food than marriage equality.

I wish I had more money to give to organizations, but, lacking that, I give my time as much as I can. I wish our government was truly representative, so that many of these problems would be addressed via legislation and executive order. The majority of Americans support same-sex marriage, legalization of cannabis, decreased military spending, and so and and so forth...but those positions hardly have any supporters in Washington.
