A couple of mornings ago my oatmeal made a farting noise. I was stirring in my flaxseed oil and chia seeds when I heard it ( Read more... )

Portishead has been about to put out a new CD for forever now. I've stopped being excited about it. I'll hop around gleefully when the disc is actually in mu greedy little paws.

I figured they're actually serious about it this time, since Amazon is accepting pre-orders (albeit only for an import edition--not for a U.S. release). But if not, I'll just be excited about The Dandy Warhols.

Where did you find your bed-breakfast tray at? How much was it?

My wife and I want to get two also.

It was at Bad Breath and Beyond. It was pretty cheap. I can't remember how much I paid for it,* but I want to say it was around $13.99. It probably wouldn't survive a couple of drops down a staircase, but for the amount of wear I'll subject it to, it should be adequate.* The register ate my receipt, and the person who helped me wasn't able to reprint it.

You are such a granolavore.

I guess the gas it would take to save a couple of bucks on a tray from IKEA makes sense. :) If I wind up going next month, would you like one of those trays anyways?

An extra one would probably add to the clutter in my bedroom, but thanks for the offer. (But I might change my mind if this one breaks.)

Since you've had jury duty recently, and since I now have a jury summons, could you remind me what it's like? I can bring a book or two to read while I'm waiting, can't I? And do I get a decent amount of time for lunch, or should I bring something to eat, since I might not have time to leave and come back?

You get one hour for lunch. You can walk to Shot in the Dark from there. Bring something to do, you only get 20 minutes at a time on the computers and you can't LJ anymore. :(

They do have a jigsaw puzzle you can work on. I got to put in about 3 pieces before I got called for a jury pool again. That was exciting.

When is your jury duty?

Cool. Thanks for the information! Is there a safe place to put your crap (like your Zune or a couple of books) before you get dispatched to a courtroom?

I guess I could get off my lazy cyber-ass and see if there's a FAQ page about this stuff....
