I like the first and second. The first... oh my. The characterisation was really touching. The way they speak to each other in that irreverent, slightly rude way, as if they don't even think of ettiquette and 'what HE might think' just goes to show how close they are, so much so that they gel so well they can be honest and unthinking the way young people are supposed to be.

The second was also wonderful. Not saccharine or angsty but still portrays the pain and disappointment that comes with separation from someone you think will never leave you. And at the same time there's no element of blame or regret in it, only perfect understanding. As well as the awareness that those you love will go their separate ways in the end and nothing can solve it. I have never heard of Mathieu Flamini before the issue of his leaving Arsenal came up, but after reading just a few brief articles about it, I was already intensely curious about him.

Can't tell you how glad I am to see this. (Maybe I'll have time to get back to drabbling at some point in the future too...)

They're all fantastic (the Cesc-Flamini one is especially so lovely), but that last one? It just warms my heart because it seems like it could be so true. ♥ (And I miss them so much.)
