Ibrahim Afellay is a devoted Muslim. He doesn't drink, prays 5 times a day etc.

Ibi is circumcised. Leo's never been with someone cut like that before, and if it had been anyone else he might pay it more attention, might hurry to meet it with lips and fingertips.

i really, really liked this, how you can tell they're both conflicted and there's no real resolution, it fit the prompt perfectly. and so well-written.

Wow. This was amazing.

Also as a Muslim myself can I just say that you are spot on and this paragraph:

But then Ibi looks up at the ceiling and mutters something in Dutch or in Arabic or whatever, and when he breathes "Si" again his whole body breathes it with him, and Leo hopes to god that that's enough.

Ibi kisses like the sea. That's the only thing Leo can think of to describe it -- the way he'll lap gently against him, and then surge forward, and then pull immediately back. It's sort of frustrating, because Leo is used to his lovers being much more demanding, but it gets better when he puts his hands around Ibi's neck, gets downright dirty when he slides them down down down his curving spine.

was INSANELY hot. It encompasses the entire prompt imo, his reluctance is just-- their conflict is oh-so-good-it-hurts. This was brilliant, anon, brilliant. I love your style, I love this pairing, I love THIS and I think I love YOU, awesome anon!

oh dear.

first of all, thank you so much for filling this.

smut, even though it's impossibly hot (oh, it really is), loses with those small details like: "Ibi is bare and clean-shaven and it's Leo he's trusting, Leo who gets to do this when no one else has before,"

or: "he's despicably grateful that Ibi only really says about two things in Spanish, and that neither of them is the word "No".

I love the way you write. It makes me feel for them, to the point where reading for a second and take a deep breath. Also, the ending is absolutely heartbreaking, but it fits just perfectly.

Perfect fill, to be honest.

good goddamn, this is amazing. so fucking hot. and my heart hurts a little for both of them at the end. I'm just going to go ahead and imagine it works out okay and Ibi doesn't freak out (or if he does he gets over it) and Leo doesn't feel guilty after.

I know this is such a small thing, so I held back on commenting until now, but... I really appreciated that you mentioned Ibi's circumcision. Funny that, but I have *never* once read a football fic in which that little detail about a Muslim character was incorporated and it was driving me up the wall that nobody ever bothered (or thought of it). So thank you for that!

The fic was beautifully done, and I loved the way you portrayed Ibi's conflicted desire so well. Also, that Messi wasn't exactly a saint either, but still cared. It was balanced in all the right ways. Truly, thank you.

Thanks; glad you enjoyed the small details! It's actually why I dread writing sex scenes - I'm lazy, and it's normally such hard work not to slip into cliché.

Oh, and small world - I think the (deliciously sexy) fill to your 'anatomy' prompt was also a combined fill for one of mine (Torsten Frings + licking, guh). Anyway, thank you for campaigning for better quality porn in the fandom, ha ha. ;)
