If you called me yesterday and I hung up/didn't pick up, I'm sorry. If you tried to talk to me whether in RL or on MSN and ignored you, I'm also sorry. I was in no condition to talk to anybody and I still am not, and though I do appreciate your concern, I still need some time to get out of the 'just not there' phase ( Read more... )

A beautiful entry, and an even better victory that's well-deserved.

*hugs* Reading that reminded me of the last game of my senior year in high school. It was a first round playoff game against Brevard, and we lost 19-7. The game turned when we had a field goal attempt blocked and run back for a touchdown, which swung the game from 13-10 to the eventual final score. Walking into that locker room after the game was a hard thing to do, because everyone was just shattered by the loss.

I only did stats for the game, but I felt like I'd been down there with them during the whole game afterwards. That was a long drive home afterwards.

Sorry to hear you that you guys lost, but you guys still had a hell of a season. *hugs ya again*

That attitude, that undefeated no matter what attitude, that strength and optimism is exactly what I respect and appreciate most about you. You're an inspiration, Margot *hugs*
I'm gonna keep my space till you say you're ready to deal with people, but I wanted you to know that.

If you're up for it by next Saturday, what do you say to going to see "Rent" with Megan and I?

*hugs* Thank you! I am VERY up to it! I promised her to see Harry Potter with her, but couldn't since my Mom decided on such a short notice. I hope she's not mad!

We never actually ended up going on Saturday, but we all seem to be kinda busy lately. I kinda ssumed that's why she didn't mention it... and I was busy too so neither did I.
But anyway, I doubt she's mad about HP.
Maybe we'd go see Rent later in the month *shrugs*

True victory comes not from never falling, but from rising each time we do. True character may come from victory, but is built more strongly when built on defeat. Though it hurts to put your heart, your entire heart, into something and have it dashed to pieces, all is not lost: scars are good. They remind us that we have fought for something, and not sat idly by, content on watching others do it for us. You did not lose, you gained so much more than anyone could realize: experience, insight, wisdom, family...things that we are all envious of.

I'm probably just spinning my wheels, telling you things that you already know. I just thought that hearing them from someone else might be reassuring.

If you want to talk, you know where to find me. :)
