An almost perfect asparagus soup

This long weekend was perfect for some experimentation in the kitchen so on Monday I used up the rest of the asparagus (I had sauteed spears with my lamb steaks on Sunday evening), cooking the front half of the spears in lemony butter, removed them from the butter and kept them warm. Thanks! The duck egg wasn't my idea, it's quite commonly used with asparagus. :o)

Heh, it's just a simple Braun one, my budget didn't quite stretch to a Bamix.

Would you mind giving me the recipe? This looks amazing and I love asparagus and soup, and this looks so tasty, I want to try making it myself at home.Could I use a stand blender vs a stick one?
