Cookie douuuuuggghhh!! I've been chomping at the bit to make another cookie dough recipe and finally developed one for my Brownies & Bars camp (an after school cooking camp for middle school students -- lots of fun and lots of mess!) My 7 campers were the first people in the world to make this recipe, and didn't they do a nice job of it ( Read more... )

Those look really good, debating whether I'll have time to make them in a few days!

They are super quick to throw together, but then do need some time to chill before you cut them. I hope you get to!
Thanks :)

So it's basically a chocolate cheesecake bar?

It has a little cream cheese in it to add body to the cookie dough, but given the base ingredients (brown sugar, in particular), I think of it more as a cookie dough bar.

Is it perverse to think these would be even nicer frozen?

NO, and it's true, too -- I might've freezed one and I might've been sneaking bites of it over the last day or so. It's like a cookie dough ice cream bar :)

WANT. I'm working on a children's food book and one of the 'missions' is to eat something at 3 different temperatures (eg chocolate melted, normal and frozen), and I may have tried this out with some cookie dough - frozen, raw and hot from the oven, oh yeah.

What a fun idea!! How/when will the book be available? I teach at a k-12 school so I find myself interested in all age ranges of books :)
