Foodie Tour of Chicago (part 3/final)

Here's my third and final installment of all the food I ate while in Chicago. This one includes the absolutely terrific experience I had at Girl and the Goat -- the one restaurant I was super bummed about leaving because I wouldn't be able to go back any time soon.

I moved away from there 3 years ago and I do miss that place

and you made it to Kumas!

and I agree about Edwardos - but then I am a thin crust pizza girl

Kuma's was definitely one of my favorite places! I'm a thin-crust pizza girl too, but we tried deep-dish pizza at 3 places to give it a fair shot.

I'm just amazed and I'm so going to have to plan a trip. You know what I like most about the whole experience though? Your friend, whom you'd described as a non-foodie, ended up trying and liking things not expected! I think when that happens, it can open many doors of culinary delight for people. Thank for sharing all this! I'm really glad I read this last post on a full stomach. Heh.

Oooh I'm so glad this inspired someone to want to go! I had a great time.

I agree re: my friend... I've been trying for YEARS to make her more accepting of foods but she has so many ISSUES. It'll be a really slow and incremental process; I don't think she'll ever be a foodie, but she's at least made some progress! I just feel like she's missing out on so much.
