A newlywed who probably spent her entire wedding day vigilantly guarding every last inch of white floof on her dress dons her bridal whites again. My grandmother made a more country-fied version of bread pudding, and baked in a deep pan. What made me smile about your photos was the spoon. She had a very similar pattern flatware. And it's funny how memories tug at the heartstrings, you know? I haven't had her bread pudding for probably a dozen years but I can hear her laughing at me for eating it too fast and burning my tongue, and how good it was cold and sliced into bars the next day. I miss her. Next month she would have been 99. She made it to 94, though.
