Valentine's Day Meal: Handmade Ravioli!

Until a few days ago, I was planning on grabbing some takeout Thai for my Valentine's meal with my boyfriend. I had a fancy dessert planned, so I didn't want to take on an entire dinner too. BUT . . . a scan through my Google Reader changed my mind

That looks delicious. I'm on bed rest right now - but once this baby is born, I am MAKING these! I'm always astounded at how easy some things are that are traditionally perceived as impossible tasks. Pasta is so simple (I used to make a lot of egg noodle pasta - and it doesn't get much easier than that!), but so few home cooks these days are willing to even attempt it.

I made Samosas a couple months ago and was delighted to find that the process was actually very simple and not nearly as labor intensive as I'd imagined. It makes me feel far more brave about attempting something like ravioli!
