Being an ex-pat in the UK, I find that hosting Thanksgiving across the pond has its advantages. I'm so not a huge fan of turkey, but I am definitely trying the second one at some point in my life! Possibly when I'm married and can bully my husband into trying it. But either way, I'm saving the recipe. Thanks a bunch! :)

by "natives" do you mean the english or the native americans?

The Europeans gave the NA smallpox. The worst form of syphilis is almost certainly a gift from NA to Europeans. While there may have been syphilis around Europe pre-Columbus, it certainly wasn't as virulent.

As for the turkeys, I'll definitely have to give that bacon turkey a try. Everything goes better with bacon!
