I find hummus often looks pretty unappetizing even though I know it is delicious. Your photo does a great job of making it look tasty.
I did a mint version of hummus a few weeks ago that turned out great. It was about a handful of mint for the can of garbanzos, and that was just enough to give it a lovely green, fresh taste without the overpowering qualities mint sometimes has.

Heh. Hummus is a beige blob. My Thai basil plants were blooming, so I thought I should use the flowers to decorate :-) I'll have to try the mint trick one of these days.
