I'm so at the end of my budget, and my cabinets are definitely reflecting that fact. Ive got two boxes of ziti, a pound of ground beef, a pound of local raw-milk fresh white cheddar, two tomatoes, and garlic ( Read more... )

I'd brown the garlic first, then add the beef.
Apart from that...there's sooo nothing not to love about that plan. Go for it!

Hmm...I think I'd slice the tomatoes and dress them lightly with the oil, vinegar, s&p and have them alongside the cheese, beef and pasta concoction.
But if you're going to combine it all, I think I'd put a little oil in the pasta before you add the cheddar, not after.

You could also do a baked ziti with meat if the tomatoes can stretch out to make enough sauce.

I'd go with browning the minced garlic, then the beef, and tossing it in with the pasta, tomatoes, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, sea salt, and black pepper. Then grate the cheese over top and run it all under the broiler til the cheese is all bubbly and browned.
God, that sounds awesome.

I would probably brown the ground beef, add the tomatoes and garlic, cook it down for a bit, toss it with the pasta, then put it all in the oven covered in cheese and bake it until it started bubbling.
