Pasta frittata & multi-grilling

Contents: (upper) Mini frittata made with leftover pasta (recipe/tutorial here), hard-boiled egg shaped like a car, and grapes. (lower) Leftover grilled shrimp with wasabi bread crumbs, cherry tomatoes, grilled zucchini and butternut squash, and cheese triangle. Morning prep time: 15 minutes.

that's so awesome! i'm a teacher and i have quite a few asian children and I love their lunches. but in 5 years, i've NEVER seen the egg trick and I LOVE it. that is so cute! i may be getting myself some.

The eggs are definitely fun and kids like them -- my two-year-old really gets a kick out of the shaped eggs.

Wow. Thank you so much for posting that - a couple of weeks ago I was in Vancouver and went to Daiso in Rhichmond with my sister, and we both picked up bento sets. I've bookmarked your page so I can learn more about it and make some neat lunches!

And if the one in your pic up there has fireflies on it, I think we have the same one. :D

Yup, I think it's the same one -- the Urara dragonfly one. At just under 600ml, it's right around the right size for me and I like that the tiers pack together compactly after I've eaten. Daiso rules!!! (BTW, I'm not affiliated with them or anything, I just like to shop there.)
