Hey, guys, it's me. Again.

Okay, so, I have this alien. He's not familiar with Earth food or food in general. He was fed through a tube, so. He's never eaten real food. But he wants to.

Question: What type of food would you want to try?

science fiction, fantasy

Without a doubt, chocolate. But good quality chocolate, not drug store stuff or *shudder* Easter bunny chocolate. (don't get me wrong - I love cheap chocolate once in a while. But for a first taste of food? So wrong!)

Alternately, a fresh-picked, perfectly ripe peach. Never seen a store, just off the tree. Or cherries. Or berries of any sort... Mmm... fresh-picked fruit. *g*

Peaches. Fresh, ripe peaches.

does this alien have jaws? if so, what kind?
that affects what foods he can eat.

Well, he's identical to a human.

well, why's he an alien?

though, in answer...bamboo, haggis, sheep brains. (all of these are perfectly normal cuisines)

Has he seen other humans eat? If so, he may try an odd combination of things he has seen others eating.

As a great example of this, if you remember the tv show 'Alien Nation', there is a romantic scene where one of the females Newcomers makes dinner for a human male. She knew that he liked lasagna, marshmallows and a few other things, so she combined it all. Great idea, but it did not go over well. Great for outsider humor.

Ooh, thank you! I never even thought of that!

Ummm... if he's a non-earth life form, wouldn't there be a huge chance that human food could be inedible or even toxic?

Aliens would also have their own senses which would tell them what looks good and what doesn't. It's entirely possible that anchovies or brussel sprouts or castor oil or spam would be like food of the gods to an alien's palette.

He's technically a clone of someone who died a long time ago. (Crappy explanation, I know.)

So he can basically eat anything.
