[OOC: Sorry for being absent for so long!]

Hello, Tear. I've had a talk with Yuan, and he's given me the okay for a guild test. Would you mind testing me?

[OOC: It's okay, I haven't been very active lately either. ^^;]

That's fine with me. What kind of a test did you have in mind? As far as I know, any type of quest is suitable as long as you carry it out properly.

[OOC: Lol, Zelos is a member of Ad Libitum and I'm still a member in training! Let's do this!]

Hmm, what kind of test? (It's unusual for trainees to get to choose their method of testing ... argh, I can't tell her that ...) Imperial Knights handled all sorts of duties in the Empire, so it's no exaggeration to say that we can handle pretty much anything ( ... )

((OOC: Ah, that's because you can join the game with a character that supposedly is already a member of the guild. And please go ahead and start the quest thread when you/we decide, if that's okay.))

If I recall correctly, the tests basically serve as a means to study a potential Ad Libitum member's skills in fighting and magic (or whatever else he may be capable of), his ability to get along with others, and his ability to follow directions.

I think I understand. Well then, if you want a test to focus mostly on physical combat, it would probably be best if we accepted a quest to take down a particularly strong monster or a gang of bandits, or something of that sort. The townspeople are always enlisting us for things like that, so it shouldn't be difficult to find an appropriate quest.

My only suggestion is that we avoid the caverns in this area. I discovered on a recent quest that thermal activity in the area makes things underground extremely unpredictable.

It's someone Cantabile's remotely happy to see! ;D forgottenoracle November 7 2009, 12:54:41 UTC
Yo Tear! Long time no see, eh?

I have a quest for you:

Ever since that festival, people have been reporting ghost sightings. I'm sick of watching the villagers avoiding certain areas, so I'm going to figure out whatever's going on and fix it.

You in?

Instructor...! So what they say about you being in Atlas is true.

...

[It's not like she can refuse without looking like a total wuss.]

...
...yes. That certainly is a problem, and it's not as if this area could possibly be haunted. There must be some other reasonable explanation.

I will assist you.

O HAI, WE'RE NOT MAKING THIS BETTER FOR YOU. 8D forgottenoracle November 17 2009, 01:58:17 UTC
Yeah, I heard that I was going to be transferred back to Daath soon, but I wound up here instead.

[Cantabile approves of your answer. She likes instructing people who don't turn out to be wusses.]

Yeah, probably just a bad prank or something. I'm not going to believe some hocus pocus unless I have a good reason, but that doesn't stop others from believing that some disembodied person is haunting the town at night.

Alright. I'll meet you in that field at sundown.

{OOC: S-sorry for dragging you into this. D: }

[Tear wonders if the transfer had anything to do with her brother's demise, or at least changes that the Order was undergoing following that two month reprieve after leaving the Absorption Gate. Really, though Tear hadn't been fond of Instructor Cantabile at the time, Daath could probably use a few individuals with the Major's outlook. She decides not to ask questions - there might be time for that later. Carrying on chatter now would be unprofessional.]

Yes. If you consider that none of the townspeople are fighters, and few are capable of handling monsters, then it's no surprise that they might believe something of this nature. There are enough things going on around the continent for a rumor like this to develop... That's right. It's not real. There is definitely a logical explanation -- a ghost, or someone playing a horrible joke, perhaps even a person sleepwalking or sneaking around after dusk...

Yes. Understood. I will meet with you then.

((OOC: Shush. Tear needs dragging out and about.))
