It's a very nice article all round. Mr McGann will always be Bush for me, and reading about his family's maritime background makes me wonder whether he might have felt a little connection too when playing the lieutenant.

Yes, yes. Mr Bush being a Timelord explains so much. Imagine the flowered cushions and curtains on the Bush-Tardis.

(And PM is right about how dark gives more places to go in fiction/acting.)
