A couple of months ago mylodon's disreputable alter-ego charliecochrane posted a link to a romantic novelist's Perfect Man Poll. I pointed out that this was utter tosh as "18th / 19th century naval uniform" appeared nowhere in the list of "Essential characteristics". What nonsense! As a result Charlie suggested that maybe we should do a following_sea version of the poll instead. Obviously I would never stoop so low as to post something as ridiculous as a "Perfect Man Poll" so allow me to present the infinitely more historically accurate...
