This is something inspired by idler_1814's masterly story "Run Aground" which I've reread recently.
If some of our dear members who love Hornblower world, character William Bush and reading good stories, have never read this masterpiece, then I would tell you that you missed one of the most marvellous fan fictions, and also I envy you for you can read and enjoy it for the first time as I did some years ago.
