Yes, idler_1814's story is mostly book-based and there Bush is rougher and tougher guy than in drama. I used the image of Paul McGann's Bush here but tried to describe him differently.
Wow!!!! I am......speechless!! It's beautiful, and your concept of both Fanshawe and Dawes are startlingly close to my own. I particularly appreciate Bush's 'fierceness'...he was pretty fierce in RA: he had to be.
And the cutters, too! You convey such a wonderful sense of their speed and agility.
I love it, and am deeply honored. 'Masterpiece', though? Thank you--you're very, very generous--but not quite. Only if "masterpiece" = "really long"! ;)
Thank you, I'm really glad if you liked this, especially if Fanshawe and Dawes I've imagined are really close to your concept. I'd wanted to draw something about your stories for years and when I reread Run Aground recently this image of three officers came to me. I enjoyed drawing this very much so I thank you again for it :)
Oh, I'm not an English speaker and of course not good at English vocabulary, but if I can't call Run Aground a masterpiece then which works should I call so??
