A young man walked up to her then, he was a few years older then her. She'd see features that were definitely John, but it was always his eyes that gave it away. He smiled at her then. "Would you like to dance?"

He smiled and nuzzled gently.

"Seriously. We were wasted. Remember at our wedding? Now picture that and three rounds of beer." Stark ran a hand through her hair. "Did you even go to your prom?" she asked. They hadn't talked much about high school. Then again that was, oh, thirty years ago.

"No I didn't." He smiled and chuckled then. "That I gotta see."

"Somehow I didn't think so." She laughed at that. She knew she was going to embarrass herself; honestly it was one of her fondest memories, though she didn't admit it. "Fine. Just don't drink too much, you're driving," she said blushing already.

"Alright Honey." He smiled and stroked her cheek again.

She chuckled. "You want to go meet all my friends? I mean, again?" she said. Granted, one of them had been her high school boyfriend, but that wasn't the way it was playing out this time.

"Sure thing baby." He smiled softly.

"Come on, then." She took his hand and led him to a table, introducing him to much younger versions of all the friends he had met at their wedding. Of course, they were promptly teased.

She just kept close. "See? I told you these guys were good people back in the day. Just nuts."

"I never doubted you." He smiled.

She laughed. "No. Just got growly at Davon."

He paused a bit at that. "Did I?"

"Yeah you did." She elbowed him playfully. "Because they played our song and he insisted on singing it to me. And you got touchy." A dry chuckle. "He was just being sweet, John. He marries his college sweetheart. They have two kids together. And his kids are wonderful."
