E-Eheh, if you say so.

[Roji's still not so sure, but he'll go on to address another part of Helios's post.] To answer your question though, the way practitioners in my world use magic is through weapons and artifacts. For example, I have a Pen of Wards. I transfer my tempering into the pen to write on wards, activating them to use on ghosts. It's...it's pretty hard to figure out how to make things work though.

[Many a time has Roji blown things up trying to use new artifacts.]

[After hearing and seeing what happened over the journal, he leaves the flower tending he was doing to go back inside of the apartment. Once inside, he sees the mess Helios created and only sighs as he puts a hand to his face.]

[ Most of the smoke has dissipated at least? Still coughing a little he'll clear his throat. That expression, Frederic. Helios will rub the back of his neck once again clearing his throat and looking around. Who made this mess? Not him! ] Oh! Frederic you're back! You-um...the spell...it-it went a little wrong.

[Frederic had been trying to avoid Helios, but he knew eventually they'd have to talk. Perhaps this was the best opportunity even if it seems like a disaster.] It's all right, but...perhaps this is the best time for us to speak.

[ Yeah he's been...doing the same. They're both guilty of it. Incidentally this is the first time in a few weeks since they've even been in the same room. Helios will wave his hand brushing away the smoke that's still lingering. ] Frederic...I-I'm sorry. For what happened.

[ It's sincere and slightly mellow like he's trying hard not to reprimand himself again for that entire incident. He hurt one of his best friends without much reason and he could understand Frederic's wanting to avoid him. ]

I don't know about implementing such enchantments, but my weapon is a sword that allows me to utilize my ki to create a flame dragon from it. And the gods have long enhanced metals to serve as restricting devices.

As for legends, the most famous from my world involve the Tenchi Kaigen Kyoumon, which were used in the creation of the universe.

Ah creation myths are always interesting! They're so many variations to them. Would you mind explaining a bit more? [ A bit off topic but you know Helios loves a good myth like the rest of them. Just a sheepish laugh at the next statement though. ]

Yes; the sword was specifically designed for that purpose. And it would be troublesome, if someone could successfully do so. Then I would have to rely on other skills.

If you wish, although there isn't so much to expand upon. In the beginning, the sutras were one, and used to create the universe, as I said. When that was finished, the single sutra was split into five separate scrolls, and passed down to beings of the Lower World. These men eventually were given the title of Sanzo priests, the ones who protect the sutras.

And it's no myth. The sutras can still be used to recreate the universe, if they are gathered together. I know this because I attempted just that.

Hmm. "Little" miscalculations don't typically result in such loud explosions. Do you need some assistance?

I imagine you're not the type to let such things be done however.

But that would mean...you'd have to have the power of a god. Or I'd assume, to even attempt to use such scrolls. A-and recreating the universe...I can't imagine why you would want to.

[What the actual hell, Helios? Giles yelps at the explosion that rocks the apartment, ducking his head against his guitar in preparation for an attack before sense catches up with him and he realizes that the feed he's been half listening to on his journal and the noises of the apartment have just gotten in sync

[ Giles if you could see him Helios will be flailing almost dropping that bowl which was housing said mishap spell. Because he was totally not expecting you to be here. But he will knock into his dresser with a hiss a few things clattering around as he turns towards Giles. ] Giles! Oh you were...you were here.

[ Of course you were, he kinda forgot, derp. Just a laugh. ]

No-no it's fine! It was a small fire, nothing a little water spell can't handle.

[Giles can't see you, Helios, but the sound you're making are giving him a pretty good idea. He winces in sympathy at the sound of Helios smacking into the dresser.]

Well, there's the Rings of Chantál, and King Philemon's chains, and the shit Obscuratists get up to, you know, with the cursing doors and floorboards and shit. Oh, and poor Lady Penelope's cursed bed. You probably heard song and dance with Levant's throne room by now, too.

[ He might be writing these down, because he's actually not too familiar with them. ] Cursed bed, hm? I know most artifacts are...um cursed. Enchantments, unfortunately, are not usually used for good purposes. More than likely to keep people from using said artifacts. But this certainly will help.

Oh heavens I can't stop now. I almost have it...it's just...still a bit finicky. All this hocus as you call it, is for a good cause I assure you.

I can't imagine why you would have her get eaten though. I would think having a simple agreement or-or consensus would be better. [ Violence, he doesn't like it. ]

Well I'm trying to apply a spell to a ring of mine. I...have done it before with a spell in the past, but this one has been nothing but difficult to solve. I was hoping that maybe a new approach or spell could help with it.

[ Helios might chuckle lightly. ] Luckily my eyebrows grow back and the houses fix themselves! But the barrier I put up stopped most of the flames. ...Wasn't too big a fire either.
