Weekend doings
Sent out yet another flotilla of cover letters and rezooms. One for an office job at a prep school just three blocks away from my flat.
Sort of a dream job, or has become so, academia. Especially after having had rewarding stints at several schools around SF. Hey, if I can't get a gig in a record or book store...

Weekend contrarian link salad
From the always erudite 3AM Magazine site: someone expresses what I reluctantly feel about a band I first heard after moving here ('92 - the KERPLUNK alb) and thinking 'these guys are too good to be just local' ...and have had to rethink since.

Felt great, felt insensate...
...getting somewhat back into the routine after Friday night's trauma.
That is, until I got in yesterday's mail a bill from the ambulance company whose paramedics came to treat and look me over that night. Two-hundred plus smackers.

Am currently reaming into my brainpan this new and really about time compilation of the music of original UK rocker Vince Taylor, now out on Ace Records: JET BLACK LEATHER MACHINE.
