My folks took me to see Harry Chapin in concert (about 6 months before he died in the car crash). I grew up listening to Harry.

My dad also got to play banjo with John Denver in an impromtu concert at the fishing lodge in Alaska my dad flew for that John Denver used to visit often....THAT would have been really cool to see!!!

Oh, wow. Those must have both been amazing experiences!
It times like these that I really appreciate my parents and their music. When I was growing up (in the 80s), they never listened to the current hits. Instead, I grew up with Cream, Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, the Beatles, and a lot of Motown. You know, the good stuff that lasts for decades past its creation.

Eeeeeeee, new job!!! Despite some "bleh" moments, it sounds like it's going really well. Is Cori the graphics supervisor you mentioned? That'd be really awesome if you got promoted that early on. >XP WOO!

Yup,, Cori's the graphics person. They hired me largely to take all of the typing and admin stuff off her shoulders so that she could concentrate on graphics work. I just didn't realize at the time that she needed to concentrate on learning the graphics stuff!

So I just need to work my butt off through August.
